You’re great at meeting other people’s expectations, and you don’t want to disappoint. That’s admirable!
And the truth is, other people need you to show up as your real self so they can connect with you, and giving yourself permission sets an example for others.
Plus, you’re part of your community, and if you’re not giving yourself permission to show up there, that community isn’t as strong and healthy as it could be. You might even decide that you owe it to the people around you to give yourself permission to be who you really are.
