I’m on a mission to live true, and I want to help you come back to the truth of who you are, too.
Trying to be better is exhausting, but living truer is simpler. It’s a relief, because it means you don’t have to distract yourself anymore from who you are and what you need.
That’s what we’re doing here. We’re practicing living true together. And that practice is all wrapped up in stories about laundry and tea and, well, life. You know.
Ready to find your best self?
Let’s start by sending the (totally free, no catch) Find Yourself, Free Yourself mini-course straight to your inbox. You’ll get five little lessons in slowing down, listening for the voice inside you, and figuring out who you really are.
I hear it’s “helpful,” “encouraging,” “inspiring,” and “enlightening.” Readers tell me it’s helping them stop and breathe, and giving them permission to slow down. (Yessssss!) I’ll send you stories and resources to keep you inspired afterwards, too.
If you want in on that action, pop your email address right in here:
Hi there! I’m Melissa. I’m so glad you’re here, because that means we can be internet friends.
I should probably mention right up front that I’m That Friend. The one who’s always in her head, the one who Feels All the Things, the one who cries a little more often than is strictly “appropriate.” (I’m a 4 on the Enneagram, and an INFJ. What can I say?)
But I’m also the friend that reminds you to be who you were made to be, and to ditch the cranky voices in your head—the ones that sound like fear and shame and judgment.
Together, we’re going to give up on people-pleasing, and striving to meet other people’s expectations, and hiding behind masks that start to feel like a second skin.
We’re going to learn to live true: more truly ourselves, more truly awake, and more truly alive. Living true is about giving up on complicated, exhausting ways of being in the world, and finding something simpler underneath.
There will be tea. There will be dark chocolate. There is always dark chocolate.
Mostly I want you to know this: you don’t have to do everything. You don’t have to be everything. (You actually can’t be everything.) You just have to be YOU and live like you mean it.
