Let’s go fly a kite

Anybody planning a Fourth of July picnic? Anybody want to carry their picnic food in a REALLY AWESOME PICNIC CRATE?

Mmm-hmmm, I thought so. I’m at Simple Mom today making two different picnic crates, and I’d love for you to stop by and check them out! The complete how-to’s are HERE.

Friends from Simple Mom

Hello there! I’m Melissa. I have six kids, and I make things. Most of those things are words. I write here about our projects and our family (you know: cannibal toddlers, brand-new babies, and why we should never ever ever make gnocchi).

I used to think I would, eventually, one day, be the kind of person who had it all together. Now I understand that I’m never going to be That Mom, and honestly? I’m not even sure I believe in her anymore.

If you’re not aiming for perfect, either: well, good. We may be messy, but we’re real. And maybe really sleep-deprived. But we can live with that.
