DIY beaded bracelet

These beaded bracelets are my grown-up version of friendship bracelets.

I made these for… myself. What? I’m a friend, aren’t I?

Okay, that is not a good excuse. But sometimes mama needs a new bracelet anyway.

Your toddler might steal it, but that's okay because: elastic.

They’re really simple to make. You’ll need elastic cord and beads. (This cord looks similar to what I used.)

To be fancy, you might also want a crimp bead (the tiny silver tube beads in the photo), needle-nose pliers, and a beading needle.

Your local craft store should have all of that.

Thread the elastic with enough beads to fit snugly around your wrist.

Knot the ends of the elastic together, or if using a crimp bead, thread both ends of the elastic through the crimp bead instead.

Flatten the crimp bead with the pliers.

You can weave the ends of the elastic back through the beads, or just trim them short. (I went with trimming.)

So pretty! So friendly. I think I’ll make another.
