six word fridays: if

June 24, 2011

If I only had a brain…
If I only had a heart…
If I only had ruby slippers…
Or ten extra minutes this morning
Another hour to sleep every day
Energy to play and think deeply
The Great and Powerful Oz could
Sail away, hot-air balloon to anywhere
Except I want to be… here.
Without any ifs, just like this.

Our topic this week: IF. If only? What if? If I… If you… If what?

Need directions? Or the new button? Want me to email you next week’s topic?

I can do that. Check out this page.

Nice new site, Melissa! Dig it!

What a great conclusion to this lamentable word IF.

No ifs to where I am,
or where I want to be.

You are where you are needed,
You’re where you’re meant to be.

And thank you, Belinda! :)

I have to say that first line made me laugh! I love your post this week. And, I’m really glad you want to be exactly where you are!!

Feeling the same…there’s no place like home ;-)

If I had remembered to get coffee, I’d have a brain and a heart AND ruby slippers this morning . . . if . . .

Oh, no kidding. If only! If!

Love your new place. Really liked the choice word for this week. What if…people say it all the time :) Happy that you are where you want to be, so am I.

Did ruby slippers bring you here?
:)

If I could make a list
of people I’d like to meet
you’d be at the very top.

That would be a great party. :)

I agree with you. I love the present without those pesky what ifs. They only serve to reduce our enjoyment of what is.

Love the purple (burlap?) background.

Thanks, Molly!

Focusing on what IS sounds good.

Oh, the ifs. They do challenge me!
and it’s not just me, thankfully I see.
